The balloon seems to stand still in the air while the earth flies past underneath.
~ Alberto Santos Dumont
Man has been obsessed with flight from the beginning of time. The "Aerostat Reveillon", the world's first hot air balloon was launched on the 19th September 1783 by Pilatre De Rozier. The passengers were a sheep, a duck and a rooster and the balloon stayed in the air for a grand total of 15 minutes before crashing back to the ground.
A mere two months later on the 21st November 1783, two French brothers, Joseph and Etienne Montgolfier launched the first manned balloon from the centre of Paris and flew for a period of 20 minutes.
Today Ballooning is not only the safest aviation sport in the world, but remains an unforgettable adventure, promising an experience of total peace and tranquillity.
