InMotion is a fully-automated slider for smartphones and small cameras
The InMotion slider is a new compact and affordable digital automated camera slider aimed at smartphone users and filmmakers who also use other lightweight cameras such as GoPros or small mirrorless cameras. Its makers are currently looking for funding for mass production on Kickstarter.
Here’s a quick video intro from the Kickstarter campaign:
The InMotion slider comes with a universal mount for smartphones, mirrorless cameras and GoPros, and a panning mechanism that, according to its makers, provides a 36 degrees wider field of view than typical sliders. You can also mount it on a tripod, attach lamps, microphones or other accessories, and charge your smartphone at the same time via the USB charging port.
The Slider is controlled via a dedicated mobile app that offers advanced features such as face-following, motion trigger, time-lapses, parallax mode and live-streaming. The built-in 12V battery allows for 5 hours of filming on any device, and optional extension rails can be added for up to 30 inches of track.
You can currently pre-order an InMobile Slider by pledging $247 on the project’s Kickstarter page, where you’ll also find more information. Delivery is planned for January 2018.
